RetailBox introduces new Privacy features

New, Unified Policies Across Services

Privacy cards on the App Store are available for RetailBox beginning next week.

Auckland, New Zealand — RetailBox today unveiled new privacy features across all of its services, designed to make it easier and more engaging for users to understand how the RetailBox app collects and uses their personal information for product improvement purposes.


Beginning next week with the iOS 14.3 update, RetailBox 5.8 will display new developer-reported privacy cards on the RetailBox product page, where users can learn more about some of the data types the app may collect, and whether that data is linked to them or used to track them.


RetailBox also published the RetailBox Media Services Privacy Policy, which unifies all privacy information across all versions of RetailBox, including the all-new RetailBox 6 update, coming next year with the groundbreaking This Week tab. These policies have been developed and published with simplicity in mind, with significant improvements to readability and comprehension. These changes are also being applied to the RetailBox Media Services Terms of Use policy, which replaces the previous End User License Agreement. These will be published later this week for users to review.


Additional Updates


RetailBox believes in privacy, and next year, the free RetailBox 6 update brings useful improvements to help users manage their privacy, including redesigned Privacy options in Settings.


This update also brings changes to the application's supporting frameworks (APIs), bringing more privacy-friendly solutions which reduce the amount of personal information being collected, focusing on useful data for product improvement and statistical research.


RetailBox 6, with new privacy features, is available as a free update beginning early 2021.
