Learn how to download and play screen savers with the RetailBox app.

Download and watch screen savers

To download and watch screen savers in the RetailBox app, tap Featured, or use the Search tab to find a specific screen saver by name or view the entire catalogue alphabetically.

Format labels display in Featured for screen savers which support 4K HDR. You can also enable Download Indicators in Settings > Data Usage to quickly determine if screen savers have been downloaded, indicated by a tick in the bottom right corner of screen saver tiles.

When you find something you like:

  1. Tap the screen saver card

  2. The download will begin immediately — the time it takes to complete will depend on your internet connection.

After downloads complete, you can play all downloaded content without downloading in Featured or by searching it. You can view which screen savers you have downloaded in Settings > Data Usage.

Using RetailBox to play content from your Camera Roll isn't currently supported and will ship in a future software release.

See your downloads

RetailBox limits screen saver downloads to 3GB per month with RetailBox 5.1.2 and later. With older versions of the app, usage is restricted to 500MB per month. Limits reset at 12:00 am Pacific Standard Time on the first day of each month.

To manage your usage, tap Settings > Data Usage. With RetailBox 5.2 and later, you can enable Download Indicators to see which screen savers have already been downloaded.

Once you reach the limit, you won't be able to download new screen savers until the following month, when the limit resets. All previous downloads will remain on your device, as long as you have enough storage.

RetailBox 5.1.2 changes the way the limit is calculated, as supporting content files, including thumbnails, do not count towards the data limit. With RetailBox 5.1.1 and earlier, once the limit has been reached, some content may appear blank. Update to RetailBox 5.1.2 or later to fix this issue.

Delete screen savers

You can delete downloaded screen savers by deleting the RetailBox app on your device, and then downloading it again.

  1. Touch and hold the RetailBox app on the Home Screen

  2. Tap Remove App (iOS 14 and later) or Delete App (iOS 13.7 and earlier)

  3. Tap Delete for iOS 13.7 and earlier or Delete App > Delete for iOS 14 and later

  4. Tap this link to download RetailBox again for free if you have already purchased it.

After reinstallation, all downloads will be deleted. You may still see screen savers in Settings > Data Usage as they still reflect the remaining amount of data in your current period.

 

For RetailBox 5.3 and earlier, you can delete all downloads without reinstalling the app by tapping Settings > About > Delete All Downloads.
